Privacy
On-device processing
Your photos and results are processed on your device. Required models are included in the app. SideSplat does not send your images to a server.
Taking photos
Camera access is requested only to take photos inside the app. When available, the gyroscope helps detect movement during capture. No audio or GPS location is recorded. Photos and camera settings stay on the device. Temporary staging is deleted after importing or discarding a sequence; after a crash, old sessions are cleaned up during a later capture.
Optional AR assistance
3D capture assistance uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore), provided by Google. This service may send Google user and device identifiers, diagnostics and usage data for analytics and improvement. Its use is subject to the current Google Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Installing or updating this service may require a connection. Relative phone positions and, when available, depth measurements may be kept locally with photos to help reconstruction. They are also included in projects exported with Pro. SideSplat uses neither Cloud Anchors nor AR geolocation. Standard capture remains available without ARCore.

Local storage
Preferences and projects available in your edition are kept in private app storage. Automatic Android backup is disabled. Uninstalling or clearing app data deletes them. In Pro, export your projects to keep a copy.
No account or audience measurement
Android apps use no SideSplat account, subscription or sign-in cookies. SideSplat includes no advertising or first-party audience measurement tools. Google Play and, for 3D capture, Google Play Services for AR processing is described separately. Switching editions does not use a web account.
Store and external documents
Google Play manages purchases and restoration under its terms and privacy policy. SideSplat keeps the signed receipt in private storage and queries Google Play at startup and on returning to the foreground to verify Pro access. No SideSplat server receives your purchases or photos. Imported and exported files are handled by your chosen document provider.
